In the event of a covered mechanical breakdown, you will be eligible for alternate transportation expenses according to the schedule in your contract.
Tire Road Hazard
5Point Credit Union’s protection plans provide coverage for the repair, or if necessary, the replacement of your vehicle’s tires if damaged due to a road hazard.
Trip Interruption
In case of a mechanical breakdown that occurs more than 100-miles away from your home and results in a repair facility keeping your vehicle overnight, you are eligible to be reimbursed for meals and lodging for up to three days.

Our Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) program helps cover the remaining balance on your loan if you experience a total loss before it is paid off.
Most Insurance policies only cover the actual cash value of your vehicle. As a result, there can be a substantial “GAP” between your loan balance and the amount your insurance company pays to replace your vehicle.
GAP settles the difference between your primary insurance settlement and your remaining loan balance at the time of loss.

Protecting your loan through our optional Debt Cancellation Program is an effective step you can take toward safeguarding yourself and your family from a potential financial burden with your new loan. Our Debt Cancellation Program Contract allows for the cancellation of all or a portion of your loan obligation if a specified protected event occurs.
Debt cancellation protection options may include:After your loan is approved and if you meet the age requirement, you may elect to purchase debt cancellation protection on your loan. If you choose to enroll more than 30 days after signing your loan documents, your approval for the protection will depend upon eligibility requirements and your answers to health questions/statements.
CONVENIENT PAYMENT METHOD
The fee for your chosen protection option is collected at the same time we process your loan payments, eliminating the need for you to remember another due date.
Our Debt Cancellation Program is optional and not required in order to obtain credit. We do not consider whether you elect Debt Cancellation protection in making credit decisions.

Loss of Life protection is designed to cancel all, or a portion of, your loan balance in the event of your death. Disability protection is designed to cancel all, or a portion of, your loan payments during your period of total disability. There may be a limit to the number of times benefits will be provided.
